Blooming City
Blooming City is a sales center interior in Guangzhou covering 1450 square meters. The design draws on Lingnan architecture and on the Pearl River landscape. A Manchurian flower-window screen is made of metal and acrylic instead of heavy wood and glass, which softens the play of light and shadow. The recreation area is centered on an LED screen, stairs, a water bar and a tea area. Materials include artistic paint, wood veneer, artificial stone, stainless steel, artistic glass and brick. The layout follows the local principle of enclosed interiors and open exteriors.
Blooming City Sales Center by Rey Yaw has been highlighted as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Blooming City Sales Center earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
