Guangzhou Metro Spirit
Guangzhou Metro Spirit is a series of lightbox posters created for a city metro system. The posters show young workers in scenes of technology, service, design, construction and culture. Strong contrasting colors, bold graphics and short text give the series a modern and youthful look. Each poster is made with acrylic and high-brightness LED lights with low energy use. Eight posters are installed in each of twenty-four stations. The series communicates the professionalism and the diversity of the metro services.
Guangzhou Metro Spirit Lightbox Poster by Zhaohui Lu has been highlighted as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Guangzhou Metro Spirit Lightbox Poster won the Bronze A' Design Award in Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design in 2023. The A' Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that rewards outstanding design of advertisement campaigns, billboards, commercials, print ads, social media campaigns, direct mails, radio spots, email marketing, outdoor advertising and more.
