Magpie
Magpie is a thermo jug designed for daily use in the home. Magpie is offered in two sizes, holding 0.95 litres and 1.6 litres. The body is made of food-grade material and the liner is made of glass, which keeps drinking water safe and residue free. A vacuum process supports heat retention for up to 48 hours. The spout follows the shape of a bird beak and tilts slightly upward to prevent dripping. A gold bird rests on the lid, and four colours are offered: white, orange, pink and green. The form draws attention to the protection of birds.
Magpie Thermo Jug by Cacica Tang and Xu Jiyuan has been featured as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Magpie Thermo Jug was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design in 2023. The A' Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which celebrates outstanding design of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, baking dishes, graters and more.
