Waterfall
Waterfall is a leisure chair designed for use in offices and for everyday relaxation. The flowing form is inspired by the Triberg Waterfall in Germany and by the hollow structure of old trees. Interlocking joints connect the legs to the seat, supporting the load and shaping the appearance. The backrest and the seat follow the curve of the human waist, and two symmetrical undulations on the seat surface improve comfort. The chair is made of European walnut. The organic form is milled by computer-controlled machines, and the surfaces are sanded by hand.
Waterfall Leisure Chair by Wei Jingye / 魏靖野 has been recognized as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Waterfall Leisure Chair was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that celebrates superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
