IN-VR Impression
IN-VR Impression is a desktop virtual reality device. Many virtual reality devices are worn on the head, which is troublesome to put on and unsuitable for long sessions. IN-VR Impression rests on a desk instead, so heavy headgear is not needed. The controllers are stored on both sides of the housing and can be taken out and used at once. The controllers charge wirelessly in place and also serve as ambient lights. The body folds flat when not in use. The design supports longer and easier sessions, including for people with limited mobility.
IN-VR Impression Device by Qian Hongliang was identified as an outstanding illustration of product design by the A' Design Awards. IN-VR Impression Device received the Iron A' Design Award in Wearable Technologies Design in 2023. The A' Wearable Technologies Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that recognizes exceptional design of smartwatches, fitness trackers, VR headsets, AR glasses, medical devices, smart jewelry, body cameras, wearable computers and more.
