Whiteland
Whiteland is a residential interior design for a home of 224 square meters in Taiwan. The ceiling is painted lily white, while the walls, wallpaper, cabinets and stone surfaces are set in deeper tones, so several levels of white show different textures. The long space receives daylight on one side, and all functions are linked by a central walkway. Two of the original four rooms were changed into a shoe storage room and a small bar, opening more space for the living area. Doors can be closed to protect privacy when guests visit.
Whiteland Residence by Ching Feng Chang was selected as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Whiteland Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
