Shield Light
Shield Light is a multifunctional floodlight designed for work and outdoor use. The form is inspired by the medieval European shield, a symbol of guardianship and strength. The housing is made of aluminium, a light and corrosion resistant material that keeps the floodlight durable and easy to carry between sites. The handle has a leather patterned surface for a secure grip. The translucent frosted cover shows the state of the battery compartment. An adapter allows the use of common power tool batteries for a long working time.
Shield Light Multifunctional Floodlight by Xinyi Wu has been featured as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Shield Light Multifunctional Floodlight received the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2023. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which celebrates excellent design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
