Equilibrio
Equilibrio is a sculptural sink that explores the contrast between the countertop's delicate inclination and its robust volume. Made by the assembly and modeling of several stone pieces in order to achieve a rounded format, the actual sink is created by a diagonal section and a slight tilt of the upper portion of the piece. The suggested supports are asymmetrical, with a hollow tube covering the plumbing on one side and a skinny leg on the other, but this piece could also be used without the supports.
Equilibrio Sculptural Sink by Thiago Mondini was featured as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Equilibrio Sculptural Sink earned the Silver A' Design Award in Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design in 2023. The A' Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, bidets, faucets, urinals, washbasins and more.
