Yuimu
Yuimu is a Japanese restaurant located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The double-storey loft space is divided into a yakitori section, a sake bar, a private dining area and an omakase counter. The interior is built without any wood or boards, so alternative materials were sourced, and a large part of the decoration is made of cement. All materials are zero formaldehyde, environmentally friendly and recycled, in line with international green standards. The lighting refers to the four seasons and ranges from soft to strong.
Yuimu Japanese Restaurant by Watson Koay was identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Yuimu Japanese Restaurant received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
