Lotus Date Recorder
Lotus Date Recorder is a pendant that records a special date. The design carries 31 small petals for the days and 12 marquise shapes for the months. A gold marking on one petal and one marquise indicates the chosen date, which is read clockwise. The pendant is rose gold plated and measures 50 by 50 by 2.5 millimeters. The form is inspired by a set of earrings from the Achaemenid Empire, based on the lotus flower engraved on walls in Persepolis. The lotus was a symbol of immortality and embodied the sun and the twelve months of the year.
Lotus Date Recorder Pendant by Mana Khaloo has been identified as a creative example of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Lotus Date Recorder Pendant won the Iron A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2023.
