Momenten
Momenten is a packaging design for a sugar-free sparkling wine sold in slender cans. The brand name refers to the right moment to drink, neither too early nor too late. The visual identity is built around characters named bubble monsters, inspired by a small face formed by punctuation marks. Each monster shape reflects a flavor, with rounder forms for softer tastes and sharper forms for more pungent ones, which helps buyers find a preferred taste. A diffusion line named KAI extends the same relaxed and playful approach. The design was completed in 2021.
Momenten Packaging Design by Hengchen Shi has been featured as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Momenten Packaging Design earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which rewards outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
