Super Ego
Super Ego, an art project that satirises consumer culture and the impact of social media on people. The project aims to criticise the artificial feeding of people's egos through likes and followers on social media platforms such as Instagram. It wanted to create a metaphorical representation of society's new superheroes, whose lives revolve around getting more likes and followers. The project focuses on Instagram, where every image posted online is displayed as a showcase to capture the attention of users.
Super Ego Digital Art by Carlos Cabrera has been recognized as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Super Ego Digital Art received the Silver A' Design Award in Computer Graphics, 3D Modeling, Texturing, and Rendering Design in 2023. The A' Computer Graphics, 3D Modeling, Texturing, and Rendering Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes excellent design of animations, simulations, game designs, virtual reality models, architectural renderings, infographics, digital illustrations, 3D character models and more.
