Xiaosai
Xiaosai is a guide robot designed for exhibition halls and public visitor areas. The robot combines translation, explanation, navigation and night patrol functions in one compact body measuring 550 by 400 by 620 millimetres. The shell and top are made of ABS with a painted metallic finish, the base is polycarbonate and the four wheels are made of TPE. Visitors call the robot by voice and follow it to a selected place, where an LCD screen and a voice give the explanation. A projected warning line marks the exhibition area, and the robot returns to its charging point when the battery is low.
Xiaosai Guard Robot by Ruichen Zeng was identified as an exceptional representation of service design by the A' Design Award. Xiaosai Guard Robot won the Iron A' Design Award in Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design in 2023. The A' Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that recognizes superior design of industrial robots, medical robots, agricultural robots, domestic robots, autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots, telepresence robots, underwater robots and more.
