Line and Structure
Line and Structure is a residential interior design for a five-storey family house in Taiwan. The home was planned for a family of ten from three generations. Vertical and horizontal lines guide the view and link the public areas on the lower floors with the private rooms on the upper floors. Low saturation colours and metal details create a calm atmosphere. The main wall is finished with Neolith, a thin and recyclable stone material, while the walls are painted with Italian mineral paint. Light and shadow visually widen the long and narrow layout.
Line and Structure Residential by SAN.O INTERIOR DESIGN has been selected as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Line and Structure Residential was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
