AD House
AD House is a single family residence located in Teresina, Brazil, a region with a very warm climate. The house offers 495 square meters of constructed space on a site of 814 square meters. The ground floor holds the kitchen, garage, living and dining rooms and a patio, while the bedrooms are placed on the first floor. A communal space for gathering and rest is set on the rooftop. The walls are made of ceramic bricks, the structure of concrete and the roof of thermo-acoustic aluminum tiles. Charred wood screens and integrated green spaces reduce the heat indoors.
AD House Single Family Residence by FLÁVIO MELO FRANCO was featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. AD House Single Family Residence received the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022.
