Tulip
Tulip is a ceramic candlestick designed to hold common scented candles. The form of Tulip is drawn from the shape of a tulip flower. Gaps between the petals allow a lit match to pass through, so the candle can be lit with ease. The candlestick measures 55 by 55 by 70 millimetres. As the candle burns, the small flame is reflected in the melted wax and a soft fragrance is released. Tulip is intended to make the lighting of candles simple and to support a calm home atmosphere for rest and meditation.
Tulip Candlestick by Peiyao Cheng was highlighted as a grand representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Tulip Candlestick was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2022. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that rewards superior design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
