Yoga House
Yoga House is a sustainable house designed as a passive solar earth shelter. The building covers 224 square meters and is made of natural and upcycled materials. Thermal mass construction and natural ventilation regulate the indoor temperature. Solar panels and wind turbines supply electricity, while rainwater is harvested and stored for long term use. An organic garden allows food to be grown on site. The mainly single story layout is freely oriented on the terrain to preserve all existing trees and to open favorable views.
Yoga House Sustainable Building by Cuneyt Dari has been selected as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Yoga House Sustainable Building received the Iron A' Design Award in Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design in 2022. The A' Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that honors exceptional design of sustainable projects, environment friendly designs, recycled, upcycled, bio-degradable products, Energy-Efficient appliances and more.
