Cherish Food
Cherish Food is an illustration series about food conservation. The series shows the growth of grain in chronological order, from sowing in spring to growth in summer and harvest in autumn. Seasonal changes in color and imagery create a sense of progressive layering. Chinese idioms are combined with the drawings to express how hard grain is to obtain. The artwork is made with vector design software and printed with careful attention to detail. The series can be used in print media, on the internet and in animation.
Cherish Food Illustration by Chunli Zhou was featured as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Cherish Food Illustration was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
