Along the Streams of Light
Along the Streams of Light is the interior design of a Korean restaurant of 265 square meters in Taichung, Taiwan. The space combines stone and wood in shades of brown and gray. Patterns, lines and irregular cuts create a sense of ceremony. Curved light strips and transitions between wooden and stone flooring guide movement between areas. The kitchen is semi-open and arranged with a bar counter, so the cooking process remains visible through glass panels. Reeded glass and tall glazing bring in daylight while privacy is maintained.
Along the Streams of Light Restaurant by Hao Chun Chang has been featured as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Along the Streams of Light Restaurant earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
