Wuhan UI
Wuhan UI is a sales center interior inspired by the water culture of Wuhan. Sound and space form the framework of the design concept. Original music was composed for the interior, and the sound tracks are mixed invisibly through the rooms, so visitors move as if within a sound field. A spiral staircase leads toward the sound source on the second floor, so the route is guided by hearing as well as by sight. Art installations combine stairs, a bronze mirror and a hanging stone. Materials include artistic lacquer, decorative brick and artificial stone with wood grains.
Wuhan UI Sales Center by Yu Studio was identified as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wuhan UI Sales Center was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
