Jian Sushi
Jian Sushi is a Japanese restaurant interior completed in Taiwan in 2021. The 135 square meter space contains a dining area, a VIP room, an itamae counter, a pantry, a kitchen, a hand-washing area and a bathroom. Black and grey tones unify the interior, while architectural concrete, yakisugi boards and rusted ironware create a simple and calm character. Lighting is directed towards the artworks and the dishes. Sound-absorbing materials reduce echo. The design presents the owner's art collection together with the cuisine.
Jian Sushi Restaurant by Wu-Su Interior Design was selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Jian Sushi Restaurant won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
