Bada Chair

Bada

Bada is a chair designed to encourage regular changes in sitting posture. Long periods of sitting place added pressure on the lower back. When a user leans into a bent posture, the seat plate rotates and creates an inclination of about eight degrees. The body then slides slowly, so the user is prompted to sit upright again. The body of the chair is made of solid white oak, and the connecting bar is made of stainless steel. Curved forms express the rotation and sliding of the seat. The chair measures 500 mm in width, 580 mm in depth and 750 mm in height.

Bada Chair by Jeongmin Ryu was recognized as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Bada Chair won the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which celebrates exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
