Bodhi Tree
Under the Bodhi Tree is a residential apartment interior in Taichung, Taiwan, covering an internal area of 114 square meters. Brass, wood and black tones run through the whole home. Unnecessary partition walls were replaced with furniture and screens, enlarging the living room and separating its functions. Walls, ceilings and floors carry three dimensional wooden structures that add consistency and depth. The Buddha hall is minimalist and monolithic. The earthy colour palette gives the space a calm and timeless character and softens the border between the home and the natural environment.
Bodhi Tree Residential Apartment by Timeless Space Design has been selected as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Bodhi Tree Residential Apartment was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
