Mod-Ice
Mod-Ice is a suburban train designed for modern cities with hot climates. Sharp and simple lines match the silhouette of a modern city. Ice cube patterns abstract a cool airflow, and light colors increase the perception of spaciousness. Lighting placed behind the textured surfaces adds a refreshing effect during long trips in hot weather. Separate areas are provided for small bags, large luggage, baby carriages, bicycles and wheelchairs. The interior is planned to serve a wide range of travelers on medium-haul routes.
Mod-Ice Suburban Train by Oguzhan Topcuoglu has been recognized as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Mod-Ice Suburban Train received the Bronze A' Design Award in Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design in 2022. The A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which recognizes outstanding design of cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, buses, trains, ships, aircrafts and more.
