Jiugui Cave Storage

Treasured Brew of the Cave is a packaging design for Chinese baijiu. The classic sack bottle shape is kept, with a rope wound around the neck, while the material is changed from porcelain to glass. The glass surface adds gloss and texture and sets the bottle apart from ceramic packaging used by other brands. A mountain is carved on the base in an ancient Chinese drawing style to express the concept of cave storage, a method long used by the Miao people. The bottle stays clean and transparent, with the number six embossed on it.

Jiugui Cave Storage Chinese Baijiu Packaging by TIGER PAN has been highlighted as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Jiugui Cave Storage Chinese Baijiu Packaging won the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that celebrates superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
