Aggregation of Cultures and Eras
Aggregation of Cultures and Eras is a residential interior design completed in Taipei, Taiwan. The 165 square meter home uses Chinese scholarly culture and traditional scenery as symbols of a continuous history. Classical trim details are combined with modern colors and textures. Warm parquet flooring, leather wall surfaces and metal hardware create a calm and refined atmosphere. Natural scenery, daylight and ventilation are brought into the space. Energy-saving and low-emission devices support a sustainable and comfortable way of living.
Aggregation of Cultures and Eras Residence by Kai-Bo Chen was highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Aggregation of Cultures and Eras Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
