Rencent Office Center

Rencent Office Center is an office building on the coast of Qingdao. The building slabs are extended in line with the surrounding shoreline, echoing the terrain and the nearby buildings. Sea view windows are set between the slabs like floating boxes. Facing the city, the facade is treated as a scene frame with a diagonal cut. Only three materials are used: glass, stone and dark metal. A sunken plaza resolves the two story height difference across the site and improves the circulation of the building spaces.

Rencent Office Center Corporate Headquarters by Tengyuan Design was featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Rencent Office Center Corporate Headquarters won the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022.
