Space Travel Technology
Space Travel Technology is an office interior of 82.5 square meters located in Hsinchu. The design follows a theme of technology and the future. White curved walls recall a capsule inside a spacecraft, and protruding streamer plates suggest asteroids of different sizes. A perforated corrugated entry gallery, long light strips and a floor with a random pattern form a passage that recalls a wormhole. Office seating is arranged in a Y shape to keep the space open. White and silver are used to make the limited area appear larger.
Space Travel Technology Office by Ciro Liu has been recognized as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Space Travel Technology Office was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
