Aery
Aery is a compact Ultraviolet-C air disinfection system developed to help people regain confidence in social interaction in a shared space. The design maximises disinfection efficacy using a dual-stage approach. This is achieved by cleverly repurposing the wasted heat from the thermal management unit and introducing an airflow control channel to impede air velocity which increases the air’s Ultraviolet-C exposure duration during the disinfection process.
Aery UVC Air Disinfection System by Duane Lye Dun Wei was selected as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Aery UVC Air Disinfection System was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Products Design in 2021. The A' Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Products Design Award is a highly prestigious international design accolade which honors outstanding design of furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners, ventilators, thermostats, ductwork, radiators and more.
