Mountain Tea
Mountain Tea is a packaging design for pressed tea cakes. Each tea cake is wrapped like a candy, which makes the tea easier to use and gives a modern look. The wrapping uses environmentally friendly handmade paper, following an older packaging form in a new way. The design holds four independent packages that can be combined into one complete picture on the shelf. The illustration shows tea leaves, tea trees and rare animals of Xishuangbanna in Yunnan, China, where the tea is grown. The package measures 280 by 205 by 70 millimeters.
Mountain Tea Tea Packaging by Xianfeng Wu has been selected as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Mountain Tea Tea Packaging was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that recognizes outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
