C R
C R is an apartment interior design completed in Lisbon, Portugal. The apartment occupies the former social floor of a building first built as a Hotel Particulier, where eleven rooms shared a single bathroom. The original mural and ceiling paintings were preserved and restored by artisan painters. Five new bathrooms, along with bedrooms and a kitchen, were added by means of structural furniture and partitions in glass, mirrors, stainless steel and brass. Velvet and marble follow the original colors, joining 18th and 21st century design.
C R Apartment by Vitor Almeida has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. C R Apartment was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
