Robot Manipulator
Robot Manipulator is a handheld control device for operating a medical robotic arm. The body is made of carbon fiber and aluminum, a combination that increases strength and reduces weight. The device is held and moved by the hand, and many sensors inside convert hand movements into signals. The signals are sent to a processor, which controls the robotic arm along multiple dimensions and coordinates. The robotic arm returns feedback that matches the hand movement. Precise tasks can be carried out at a distance, including work in dangerous conditions.
Robot Manipulator Remote Operation Device by Jun Chen has been recognized as a grand representation of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Robot Manipulator Remote Operation Device earned the Silver A' Design Award in Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design in 2021. The A' Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade that recognizes excellent design of industrial robots, medical robots, agricultural robots, domestic robots, autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots, telepresence robots, underwater robots and more.
