Fairies
Fairies is a pair of kinetic earrings inspired by the duality of day and night. The asymmetric duo includes Fairy of the Day, made in white gold with diamond flowers and a hidden emerald heart, and Fairy of the Night, made in blackened gold with a ruby heart, diamond stars and a crescent moon. Both figures have moving legs and individual faces. A 3D model was prototyped in wax and cast in gold, then finished by hand and polished. A total of 403 precious stones were set before the parts were joined. The pair remains light and wearable.
Fairies Kinetic Earrings by Margarita Prysiazhniuk has been recognized as an innovative representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Fairies Kinetic Earrings earned the Golden A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which recognizes outstanding design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
