Next 1
Next 1 is a residential landscape design covering 2300 square meters in Taichung, Taiwan. The layout follows geometric lines and layered planting that create overlapping levels of depth. Curved paths guide movement along the street and soften the walking space. Multi-layer planting changes with the four seasons, and simple seats are placed in the open areas. Wide open space, repeated planting layers and pools help adjust the microclimate and reduce the need for indoor lighting. The design brings a village-like humanistic setting into the community.
Next 1 Landscapes by Hsu Fu Chu was featured as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Next 1 Landscapes won the Iron A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2021.
