Destruction White
Destruction White is a private club interior design covering 1200 square meters in Nanchang, China. The project follows a minimalist approach, and the original structure is broken open and rebuilt to create better connections between areas. Openings across floors link the dining area on the second floor with the open teahouse above. A suspended steel staircase with ultra-thin treads joins four levels. Materials include Arabescato, Bianco Botticino, Sunshine stone, Mongolia black, white matte paint board and wood flooring.
Destruction White Private Club by Don Lee was highlighted as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Destruction White Private Club won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
