Mingluye
Mingluye is a packaging design for a baijiu, a traditional Chinese spirit made mainly from mung beans. The bottle shape is inspired by the mung bean, which is also used as a Chinese medicinal material. White vertical bars on the bottle recall the germ of the bean and refer to new life. The bottle body is embossed with patterns of mung bean leaves, stems and fruit, and the cap has a natural earth texture. The outer box is made of special paper with bronzing and embossing. The packaging is kept simple to limit the use of materials.

Mingluye Alcoholic Beverage Packaging received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which honors exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
