Yaoyao
Yaoyao is a restaurant interior located in Shenzhen. The design covers 250 square meters on a single floor. A curved steel surface descends from the ceiling and separates the closely spaced tables, like a fishing net stretched across the room. Each table is joined to the curved structure, and the table length was increased so that service does not disturb the guests. A ceiling of water corrugated stainless steel and glass lamps create the impression of an underwater setting. The layout forms semi-private areas that place a comfortable distance between diners.
Yaoyao Restaurant by Yan Junjie was recognized as an exceptional representation of service design by the A' Design Award. Yaoyao Restaurant was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design in 2021. The A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafes, bars, cruise ships, theme parks, travel experiences and more.
