Flowo
Flowo is a digital typewriter designed for writing without distractions. The form recalls a classic typewriter, with a black cylindrical main body that echoes the paper roller. A curved e-ink display shows the typed text, and an internal memory stores the documents. A backlit keyboard extends from the main body. Two side knobs replace the former paper knobs: the left knob moves through the menu, while the right knob scrolls the document line by line or page by page. The main body is made of recycled plastic by injection molding.
Flowo Typewriter by Jody Del Bianco has been recognized as an innovative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Flowo Typewriter earned the Iron A' Design Award in Digital and Electronic Device Design in 2022. The A' Digital and Electronic Device Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which recognizes outstanding design of smartphones, laptops, televisions, cameras, headphones, smartwatches, gaming consoles, tablets and more.
