Next Hub
Next Hub is a mixed use complex in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, that combines hospitality, administration, entertainment, retail, food and beverage and recreational zones. The composition explores the relation between solid and void. Building volumes enclose a central open plaza, recalling traditional markets and creating an urban experience with social interaction. Internal courts bring natural ventilation and daylight into the hotel and administration buildings. Finishes include honed travertine stone, black steel and double glazed glass.
Next Hub Mixed Use by Ahmed Habib has been highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Next Hub Mixed Use was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which honors exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
