Three Emotions Brand Identity

Three Emotions

Three Emotions is a brand identity created for a non-profit organization in Japan. The organization works to have Hansen's disease sanatoria added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The logo combines three pictograms that express agony, sadness and hope. The mouth of each pictogram is arranged into the shape of a bridge, which also reads as the letter H. The bridge refers to a real bridge built on an island where two sanatoria stand. Posters of 594 by 841 millimeters are displayed in nursery schools, kindergartens and hospitals.

Three Emotions Brand Identity by Tsuyoshi Omori has been selected as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Three Emotions Brand Identity was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
