Crystal
Crystal is a hotel interior in Shanghai, China, covering 8000 square meters. The design theme is based on the light of crystal. Smooth lines run through the ceiling, the walls and the floor, dividing the interior into different functional areas. Metal geometric shapes on the surfaces give the space a three-dimensional character. Simple and natural materials are combined with changes in level to create a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Greenery placed inside the hotel links travelers with nature and offers calm within the busy city.
Crystal Hotel by Jiaqiang Xu has been identified as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Crystal Hotel won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
