Sanjiang Plum
Sanjiang Plum is a sales office interior in Wenzhou, China, covering 1898 square meters. The design explores Oriental aesthetics in a modern context. An irregular wave shaped ceiling is built from laminated white semi matte custom made aluminum panels, arranged like ripples across the room. The bar counter uses interpenetrating volumes and water textures to add depth. A method of deconstructing curved forms brings movement to a plain square plan. The interior follows the architectural form, so that light, landscape and social life stay central.
Sanjiang Plum Sales Office by Guobiao Cao has been recognized as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sanjiang Plum Sales Office received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
