Mansion of Dawn
Mansion of Dawn is a residential interior design for a duplex apartment in Taipei City, Taiwan. The plan is arranged in earth tones, which keeps the space simple and elegant. An open staircase divides the home into two areas, with the public spaces below and the private rooms above. The wall from the entrance to the interior is made of fair-faced concrete boards, embedded with hand-made titanium-plated metals set in staggered lines. A study is placed under the stairs. The balcony is fitted with retractable curtains for flexible use. The two children's rooms are equal in size.
Mansion of Dawn Residential by Hsin-Pei Chiang has been featured as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Mansion of Dawn Residential won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
