Linear Refraction Desk and Ambiance light

Linear Refraction

Linear Refraction is a desk and ambient light created for a design hotel in Lishui, China. The lamp joins a linear LED tube to a crystal glass base sourced from Pujiang. The base holds a colored inner layer that refracts white light into many hues, recalling a rainbow. Two modes of use are offered. Placed horizontally, the lamp serves as an adjustable reading light. Set upright, the light glows within the crystal base to create a colorful atmosphere. A touch control switches and dims the light, and the last setting is remembered.

Linear Refraction Desk and Ambiance light by Ray Teng Pai was identified as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Linear Refraction Desk and Ambiance light won the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2021. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
