Linear Refraction Floor and Ambiance Light

Linear Refraction

Linear Refraction is a floor light designed for a hotel in Lishui, China. The design is inspired by the rainbow and combines a circle with straight lines. A round patterned glass board projects colored shadows that enrich the surrounding indoor space. The glass board can be rotated a full turn to change the shades and patterns cast on the walls. The base and post are made of aluminum alloy, and the glass is a patterned type used in architecture. A foot switch on the cable turns the light on and off. The floor light measures 400 by 400 by 1500 millimeters.

Linear Refraction Floor and Ambiance Light by Ray Teng Pai was identified as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Linear Refraction Floor and Ambiance Light won the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2021. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize that recognizes superior design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
