Heting Barbecue
Heting Barbecue is a restaurant and bar interior located on the third floor of a commercial building in Jinan. The 360 square meter space combines barbecue dining, an izakaya, a music restaurant and a bar. Wood, stone, light and shadow are arranged in an architectural manner, creating varied views within a limited area. A dislocated background wall stands at the center of the dining area, where lighting reveals contrasts between different material surfaces. Old green bricks recall the historic character of the city.
Heting Barbecue Restaurant and Bar by Jianning Wang has been recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Heting Barbecue Restaurant and Bar was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
