Urban Sunshine
Urban Sunshine is a residential apartment interior created for a compact urban home with a high ceiling. The former mezzanine was removed and partitions were reduced to shorten movement paths. The interior is divided into four areas: a living and dining room, a kitchen, a bedroom and a multifunctional room. Flexible translucent partitions replace solid walls, so privacy is available while daylight and an open feel are kept. The terrace entrance was rebuilt as a semi-outdoor living room with storage, finished with wood veneers in warm earth tones.
Urban Sunshine Residential Apartment by Hua Shan Hung has been recognized as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Urban Sunshine Residential Apartment was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
