Flowing Oriental
Flowing Oriental is a sales office interior located in Fuzhou, China. The design draws on the local fishing port culture, with references to arched bridges, boats and flowing water. Lacquer finishes and ink-like surfaces recall regional porcelain and lacquer crafts. A bow ring installation, three meters high and 3.6 meters in diameter with a 50 millimeter thin edge profile, marks the main experience area. Fluid structures, light and shadow connect the entrance, the installation area and the booth area, creating a calm and continuous visual flow.
Flowing Oriental Sales Office by Shenzhen Zerfang Space Design Co. has been identified as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Flowing Oriental Sales Office won the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
