Capture the Moment
Capture the Moment is a short animated film about the importance of timing in photography. The film shows individual shapes that move and slowly morph into new forms, building one perfect moment. The work is a cell animation, drawn frame by frame for fluid and organic movement. Style frames were first designed in Adobe Illustrator. Each frame was then animated with the timeline feature in Adobe Photoshop. Compiling, adjustment and finishing were carried out in Adobe After Effects. The result is a video of 1920 by 1080 pixels, viewed without any interaction.
Capture the Moment Animation by Kohki Kobori has been highlighted as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Capture the Moment Animation earned the Iron A' Design Award in Movie, Video and Animation Design in 2021. The A' Movie, Video and Animation Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which recognizes excellent design of feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, music videos, experimental films, commercials, trailers and more.
