Baobab Tree
Baobab Tree is a jewelry collection in silver that includes a ring, a long station necklace and a bracelet. The main motif is based on the Flower of Life, a geometric pattern of overlapping circles. The pattern is transformed into rounded petals, so the ring shows a large organic flower when worn on the finger. Seen from the side, the same ring forms the image of a baobab tree, also known as the Tree of Life. The motifs were drawn with 3D CAD and then produced by hand with wax modeling and traditional metal craft techniques.
Baobab Tree Jewelry Collection by Michiru Yamawaki was featured as a grand illustration of fashion design by the A' Design Awards. Baobab Tree Jewelry Collection earned the Iron A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
